If like me, you absolutely binged Bridgerton recently, then you'll have most likely fallen in love with their style and costumes (As well as the Duke). Huge, statement collars have already been everywhere recently, and I think Bridgerton is definitely going to bring back some of that Regency, period style into the high street.
And I for one don't want to be left out, so I took to making a piece for myself from two, old school shirts that I dug out from my brother's room. I initially didn't intend on creating a Bridgerton-esque style, I was actually inspired by Benjamin Fox who have similar collar designs. But here we are, it may not be authentic Regency, but this is my own 2021 version of it. And if the casting people at Bridgerton want to to call me up for the next series, then you know where to find me.
The process was actually quite simple, although it still took my virgo-perfectionist arse nearly a week to finish it. And if you want to see just exactly how I did this, then I filmed the whole thing over on my YouTube channel - You can find the video below! Sewing is something that I'm still slowly figuring out, and this is one of the first proper 'I made it' pieces of clothing; which means it's all the more meaningful to me. Plus, apart from that, it didn't cost me a penny. So it's a win-win, right?
