SUPER FACIALIST VITAMIN C+ CLEANSING OIL

The idea of taking your make up off after a long day can be a pain for some, especially if you've gone all out with a full face, you know what I mean? As much as possible I tend not to grab the face wipes, and instead bring myself to using an oil or hot cloth cleanser. Even though my skin type is oily / combination, I still find that using an oil product is perfectly fine, and moisturising shouldn't be something to be scared of - As if your skin thinks that you need more moisture, it's only going to produce more oil. When first introducing myself to this cleanser from Super Facialist, I was immediately drawn to the colour, as it's bright yellow oil looks rather intriguing. From my first impression, I'd have said that this was a product to use in the mornings, but for me using this in the evenings to remove my make up has been the perfect use in my skincare routine.

The packaging first of all is super handy, as the cap dispenser only releases drops of oil; which I find you only need 3-4 drops of, and so it saves wasting product. As for the scent of the oil, it initially reminded me of the GinZing range from Origins, that being a sweet orange scent. Again, it reminded me of a morning product for that reason, but surprisingly in the evening I find it really relaxing when used with a damp, warm flannel to remove. That's generally how I've also used this oil, by applying to a dry face, and massaging in with a little water which produces a light, milky texture. Then using a flannel, I wring out any excess warm water, and hold onto my eyes for a few seconds before wiping away. This removes any eye make up, where I then rinse the flannel and continue wiping away the rest of my make up from my face and neck. Of course a muslin cloth works just as well with something like this too.

Usually if I'm being extra lazy, then following this I will use a toner and moisturiser, otherwise I will follow with another simple, gel cleanser for a second cleanse. After using the oil, my skin feels truly soft and supple, and with the warmth from the cloth and scent from the product, it helps to feel settled before bed. In this oil you also have some great vitamins like C and E, known for their brightening and hydrating effects. Usually a 200ml bottle of this stuff costs £10.99, which compared to other high-end skincare, is pretty cheap. Plus, as it's an oil the amount you get will last for a good few months anyway.

The brand itself is relatively new to me within my skincare collection, although I have known about the brand for a few years. And so would I recommend? Of course, if you're looking for a make up remover that doesn't dry out your skin, then this stuff is perfect!
