I believe it was around this same time last year when leopard print and red became more and more popular on the high-street fashion scene, and so I thought to bring this combination back as a transitional style for autumn. Recently when browsing around shops like Topshop and New Look, I've also found that leopard is making a big comeback, and so I've been finding new ways to wear the print that in the past I've definitely been wary of. This jumper though was a great piece to purchase, as it's thin enough to layer, which I'm all about during A/W, plus the print itself is rather big so I'm not super intimidated to wear it - Does anyone else think like this or? As a look, I think this is super powerful and striking, popping the red with a print and some metallic details on the zipper and earrings. By also pairing this with a red lip you've got yourself a look Scary Spice would be proud of.
This pinafore was kindly gifted from Simply Be, and for me it's quite a daring piece as I don't typically wear dresses of any kind. Although I do already have a blue denim pinafore in my wardrobe, the contrasting stitching drew me in, and the denim itself is quite thin and stretchy - Meaning that it's super easy to move around in and snugs nicely around my hips. I also don't own any coloured denim, but it's a great way to inject some colour into key, capsule pieces. Another positive from this pinafore, is that the length of the dress is practical! I find that most dresses nowadays are way too short for me, and even the slightest bend down would mean flashing the entirety of the world. Overall, a classic, winning combination, using some uber-grl-pwr pieces. What's not to love?
