SEEING DOUBLE

A trend that swiped last season was the gingham print, which in case you've forgotten, was all the range back in the days of primary school summer dresses. But nevertheless, here it is on the high street in 2017, and so after seeing this style for so long I had to try it for myself. Of course I went a little extra and doubled up, but I think this look is super sweet with the added frill detail on the trousers; which of course was another big trend. And while we're here, let's make it a trifecta of trends with the added detail of THOSE tassel, H&M earrings - That apparently everyone and their postman's cat had worn this summer. I've featured these in my summer accessories post before, but with this outfit I think that it complements the blue denim and sequin detail on the black slider shoes. (A quadfecta of trends?)

To add a pop of colour, I went in using a bright coral on the lips and nails which contrast everything nicely. With the entirety of this outfit, I'd say that this is a pretty bold look for me, but is definitely something that I'm loving. Experimenting with clothing is becoming more natural, as in the past I've been scared of print, but by seeing what works for me, I'm learning to style new pieces in different ways.
