THE 70s MIX

A good tailored piece is right up my street, and these trousers from Pull&Bear don't let that style down with their checked pattern and accent of mustard yellow. If you've seen my past blog post on a certain yellow knit, then you'll notice that this yellow has been creeping into my wardrobe more and more. Another staple in my wardrobe, that's been around for a long time, is this suede, 70s-esque jacket, again rather tailored and structured in fit. Along with the high-neck top, I'm feeling this 70s look, almost Stranger Things inspired if I may be so bold to say. To change that up I've then been wearing in these new, bright, white trainers; which are completely out of the norm from my usual style. Apart from sporting purposes, I've never worn a pair of lace-up trainers, especially ones that are blinding and platform. But with the broguing accent on the heel, I'd like to think that these work with more tailored, smarter pieces to dress them down and make it suitable for a casual, weekend look. The sporty-smart style has definitely been seen in the past few months around social media, and I can see why it has taken people's fancies. Perhaps it's not something that I'll adopt everyday, but with the 70s style alongside it, I must say that I've become a fan too.
