Thankfully spring is finally forthcoming, and that means later sunsets (Much to my delight as a blogger!) and sunnier days, however with a chill still lingering from winter, finding transitional pieces can be difficult with the ever-changing British climate. That's why I've been trying to get the most out of my knitwear over the past month, and instead of layering like I would during winter, I've simplified the classic knit cardigan. This yellow knit has been in my wardrobe for years, seven years in fact, if you want the specifics - So sadly this may not be available anymore, but fear not as this mustard colour has surely made it's way back on to the high street.
I've seen this cardigan-style top become popular on IG over the past month or so, and I wanted to try it for myself. I will say that it's a great way to dig out the winter knits for that little bit longer, although be aware of a nip slip scenario if the knit is quite holey like this one (I'd recommended a bralette underneath). Along with this mustard shade, I've been loving dark, indigo denim, and these MOM jeans from Zara complement the look perfectly. For me, the MOM style have become my go-to in jeans, mostly because of how they feel and fit with my body shape.
As for accessories, by keeping it simple with this Topshop necklace, the accent of gold looks great with the warm yellow. It also doesn't distract too much and adds detail to what would normally be a very simple look.
Normally, posting style pieces on this blog is a rarity, although I want to change that and become comfortable in posting outfit edits more often. My style has definitely been changing over the past year, as I've discovered way more colour and print. Although it takes pieces like this yellow knit to make me realise that my style has only evolved, evidenced with this cardigan lasting the test of time through many spring clear outs - And of course it will surely stay with me for many more years to come.
